The first part of this book is about a pilot named Rose Justice, who is flying from Paris to England, and gets caught by the Nazis and is sent to a women concentration camp. So far the story is about her getting tortured and beat up by the Germans, and then meeting new people who have basically been experimented on. There are many strong characters in this book but one of them is Rose Justice. She was brave, and made a big impact to the story. No matter what, she always helped. She also wrote poems, which were really powerful. So far, I have really enjoyed this book, and it is a pretty tough read because some parts are really intense, but I definitely recommend it. I am looking forward to read the second part of this book. There are many mature topics and some language, but that is basically what this book is about. Even though I really enjoy this book, I feel like it just goes on. When I feel like I am at the end of the book, I am actually only half way through. But otherwise, this is a great book so far.
